The F. Matthias Alexander Trust is a registered charity which was established in 1991 in order to advance the education of the general public in the Alexander Technique and to promote research and study into all aspects of the Technique. The Trust is affiliated to the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique (STAT).

As soon as you have a lesson you can start making a positive difference to your life.
2. We cannot change what we are not aware of.
Although the principles of the Alexander Technique may make intellectual sense to us we are not always aware of the habits that we have that are causing us harm or difficulty. In fact, what is habitual usually feels comfortable even if it is causing us harm.
3. You won’t know for sure until you try it!
Although, once again, the principles of the Alexander Technique may make intellectual sense to us, one has to experience a lesson to get a fuller idea of what it is about. The only way to answer the question, “but will it work for me?” is to try it. One has to experience the guidance of a teacher’s words and hands in practice not in theory.
